Leaders of His Presence Church
Naoki and Hiroko Tachibana
Senior Pastors
Naoki received baptism on September 14, 1980. He spent his high school years at a Baptist church where he met his wife, Hiroko. After graduating from university, he decided to pursue a career in music. This, however, fell by the wayside, and he worked as an office worker for eight years. He then opened an administrative scribe, social insurance and labor attorney office and became an immigration lawyer. In January 2017, he founded His Presence Church and began leading. On July 14, 2019, he received ordination from Pastor John Curiale of Antioch Community Church in Orlando, Florida (U.S.A.). His favorite verse is John 12:24.
Hiroko attended a Baptist church as a child and received baptism at the age of 14. After that, she studied prayer at a Pentecostal church and was led into the ministry of personal evangelism. Currently, she fills the role of HPC's church mother and aims to create a comfortable atmosphere for all. Her favorite verse is Psalm 121. In her personal life, she is an experienced mother who has raised three sons.
Sean and Emily DeLue
Assistant Pastors
Sean grew up in Texas and was baptized in 1988. He met his wife, Emily, while attending Baylor University, and they were married in 2003. He was trained as a doctor and practiced medicine for 20 years in Texas. Through his experiences in caring for patients, he realized how people were hurting spiritually more than they were physically. It was then that he started seeking spiritual healing through Jesus for his patients. His favorite verse is Psalm 46.
Emily grew up in Costa Rica as a daughter of a Baptist preacher and has been following Jesus her whole life. She moved to the United States when she was 20 and met Sean soon after. She received her degree in Education from The University of Texas; First working as an educator and then in Children's Ministry. Her favorite verse is Psalm 33.
It was in 2015 that they began training for ministry and were ordained by Antioch Community Church in Waco, Texas. In 2016, they both felt the call on their lives to move to Japan. They moved with their 2 daughters to Kyoto in 2018, with hopes to be able to share the love of Jesus with others.
